PINK CHIFFON IS BACK!!!

Thrilled to see pink chiffon back! This Cassadou is a perfectly-sized vessel for daily use. It can braise, sauté and brown effortlessly! Great for meat, stews, vegetables and sauces! It's both wide and deep. It's a bit heavier than the glass lid Cassadou but so pretty on top of the stove! I always use either wooden or silicone utensils so no scratches or damage occurs during use. I'd love Le Creuset to make a special edition sparkle powder pink to support the fight of women battling breast cancer! Please make that and donate a portion of your sales for the cause! Overall, a great vessel for everyday cooking at a great price! Just get it!

What a versatile, good-sized Cassadou!

I love EVERYTHING about this Cassadou/dutch oven , but especially the chiffon pink color! This dutch oven does everything! Love the handles!!! Love the way it cooks in the oven. LC, please continue to make these beautiful Dutch ovens in every pink color under the sun. Please bring back the rose pink, too! A word of advice: cook on a medium or medium low flame, as the DO heats up very quickly, use only silicone or wooden utensils, not metal utensils, Give the Dutch oven a few minutes to cool down before submerging in water to prevent thermal shock, use scrub daddy, not metal sponges to clean, and lastly, do not drag your Dutch oven across the stove top but, rather, lift so as not to scratch. If you do these things, you will have a lifetime of use.

Perfect size for most cooking tasks

I just replaced my old nonstick pans with Le Creuset in an effort to cook non-toxic and have quality cookware that will last. I bought four pieces, and the signature cassadou has turned out to be my favorite one hands down. I am going to buy a second one to complete my collection because it's the one I reach for most and it best suits my needs. It's a bit of an adjustment switching from teflon-coated nonstick to these, but the learning curve is short and these pans are both beautiful and functional. I'm excited/hopeful they last a lifetime!

Exactly what I wanted

I have been waiting for cassadou to be on sale for quite a while and immediately got it as soon as I saw the sale price. It is exact what I wanted: a le Creuset, with a handle, deeper than a frying pan, shorter than a Dutch oven, can stir fry, can make source, can go into the oven. So basically everything in one pan. The handle is important for me because most le Creuset pans tend to spin on a smooth stove top. With a handle, I can hold the pan while cooking so it stays still. I have used it to cook one pot meal like chicken rice, goulash, stew... it is my most favorite Pan now.

It's my go to!

I couldn't wait to get this baby out of the box, and use it. I've been using Le Creuset cast iron skillets, for years now, but I wanted to invest in better cookware, and purchased a small Dutch oven (2qt), and this Cassadou (both in chiffon pink ??) This Cassadou quickly became my go-to, for ALL things. I've fried chicken, pork chops, and baby back ribs. I've made one pot pasta meals, and homemade gravy. I've even used it to bake homemade cinnamon rolls in, and I'm telling you, it cooks PERFECTLY every time. I plan on using it for my Mississippi pot roast, instead of my slow cooker, and I'm sure it'll taste even better. My mom's birthday is in April, and I plan on purchasing a Cassadou for her. Her fave color is the classic Flame, and she already has multiple pieces, but she doesn't have a Cassadou.

DO NOT HESITATE!!!!

Le Creuset is a serious investment. I took the plunge because I have birds and you can't use run of the mill stuff and nonstick is certain death for them. After exhaustive research I decided on the Cassadou. The sale price was substantial enough to justify it. I really thought this was going to be a large sauce pan style. IT IS TWICE THE SIZE I EXPECTED. I thought it would be good for one pan meals for 1-3. I can cook for a dinner party! This is a full fledged Dutch Oven but with a pan handle. It's almost 9lbs. And it is just stunning in the Carribean. Looks beautiful with my stock pot in deep teal. I added a mortar/pestle set to get the mugs as a gift. Free shipping. For the price of an iPad you have a forever pot.

Second one I have purchased

I bought this for my daughter a few years ago and she loves it so much she asked for another! She plans her meals around the availability of this pot. I myself own several pots from lecrueset and have enjoyed using them for years. These are heirloom quality pieces that can be used for decades and handed down to the next generation. I love the versatility of stovetop to oven and how easy cleanup is.

Ridiculous!

In spite of many, many attempts with several different payment methods, all of which worked just fine everywhere else, I was unable to complete this transaction. I called Le Creuset several times but was informed that they can't do anything at all about anything. And my emails to higher ups went unanswered. Finally, I had my son order it for me but it arrived WITHOUT the promised free Valentine's Day ramekins, value $50. To top off the insane level of incompetence, Le Creuset sends me this link, asking for a public review. LOL!
