  • Freightening and Effective

This is a wonderful tool that works amazingly well. But I have nightmares about accidentally cutting off a finger! It is really easy to use and operates well with a 3AH battery. It cuts through 2 inch thick samplings easily. It can cut through thicker branches, but you have to trigger it more than once. You have to be super careful with the thing! It has a nice safety on the trigger but you have to make sure you SEE the tip and know exactly what you're cutting. I very nearly hurt myself badly when I lost sight of my hand while trying to hold a branch under a thick hedge (losing sight of both my hand and the device). After scaring myself half to death I now do not disengage the safety until I see very clearly what is in the jaws. This thing scares me! But still a great tool. Be CAREFUL!!!

  • Best Electric Pruning Shears Ever

Best hand held electric pruners I have ever used. Bought my first set when they first came out about three years ago. Have made thousands of cuts with them with absolutely no issues. Just bought a second set so my wife and i can both use them at the same time. They also work great for cutting drip irrigation hose, twine and other things around the homestead. The only thing to make sure of is, do not get them anywhere near your fingers, they would cut them off in a nanosecond.

  • Exceeds Expectation

I am old with arthritis in my hands that has decreased my grip strength. We have 95 acres with a lot of brush overgrowing the place. We also have goats. I cut the brush to clear the land and feed the goats who cannot be out on pasture. I used to do it with hand pruners and loppers. It has become more and more difficult. Much of what I used to cut with hand held pruners I now have to cut with loppers. Since I already have a number of 20v Dewalt tools I decided to try the cordless pruner. They have far exceeded expectations. I thought it would only make life easier on by hands which it certainly did. I really did not think it would take that much longer to cut with hand pruners than with this tool. I was wrong there. I can cut 4 times as much brush with the cordless pruner than with the hand held pruners in the same amount of time. In part it is because they are so sturdy that it is much easier to push them through dense brush than with a hand held pruner. I had thought I would only be replacing my hand held pruners but now the cordless pruner is taking place of my loppers as well. It holds a great advantage over the loppers. With my now free hand I am able to pull branches down and cut which I could not do with both hands on the loppers. It is also so much easier on my shoulders than loppers are. Some of the brush I cut is entangled with very thin vines. I was concerned that the vines being so thin would wedge between the anvil and cutting blade. However, regardless how thin, none of the vines have wedged. Recently I cut down two trees (with my cordless Dewalt chainsaw) that were growing too close to the house. I used the cordless pruner to clean out the limbs on the downed trees. It was so much faster with the cordless. I can only equated the speed of the cordless pruner to the speed of a pneumatic nail gun. Yes, it is that fast. The cordless pruner cuts anything 1 inch and smaller with one cycle. I have cut up to the 1.5 inches at most taking three cycles, but often still taking just one cycle. Finally, after 4 days of cutting, my 5 AH battery never even dropped one bar. I only had to recharge the battery after I switched it over to the chainsaw. Dewalt classifies this as a professional level tool and I would say that is no exaggeration. If you are considering a cordless pruner I would say do not hesitate buying the Dewalt 20v pruner. You won't go wrong.

  • Does a lot of work quickly.

I have put this tool to the test. It cuts up limbs easily to an inch or slightly larger with one trigger pull. On the dry limbs it might take two or three trigger pulls, but it does the job. Some people in my neighborhood will put a single limb in the recycle bin which makes me chuckle, because of the pruner I can put the whole tree in the recycle bin. The pruner is very powerful. It has a safety switch on the trigger to prevent an itchy trigger finger from pressing the trigger. The safety switch has a timer so you can't tape it down or keep it depressed constantly. Sometimes when the safety switch is depresses too long you will be timed out and think that the pruner has stopped working, but all you have to do is release the trigger and pause a second to reset the timer and you are back in business. I use this pruner along with DeWalt's mini chain saw, they're a great combination for yardwork. I like the pruner and would recommend it.

  • Easy to use power branch pruner

cuts through branches easily. Safety features at least keep your one hand safe. Just have to not be stupid and put your opposite hand in harms way.

  • You will find that you have a need for this that you never knew about

It was not very expensive and I thought, what the hell, I’ll give it a shot. Could not really see one. I bought it how I would use it very much, but it is so fast and so slick that I started going around trimming all of the trees, all of the bushes all of the shrubs. If you have a lot of plants by where you live, it’s the slickest little tool I’ve ever used.

  • The device is a beast. Powerful pruner.

This is a beast! The blade retraction is as powerful as its cutting force, so it never gets stuck. I can prune 100’s of branches with no problem. Sometimes it takes more than one activation of the cutter to go through a big branch, but it really isn’t a big deal. Overall, I would recommend it.

  • Happy wife happy life

I bought this for my wife for her B-day in Jan. (she wanted it, the neighbor had one and she loved it). So she hasn"t had a chance to use it. But if it works as good as the rest of my DeWalt tools it will be just fine.

  • Great pruner.

This pruner works very well. It has several safety features.produces clean cuts up to an inch with one stroke. Larger than 1 inch material usually requires multiple strokes. Wish it had a brushless motor but other than that I can’t say anything negative about it.
