Our limewash paint is crafted from the highest quality mature pit lime that has been aged for three years, ensuring its purity and consistency. To tint the limewash paint we use natural earth mineral pigments. The result is a radiant, luminescent hand-crafted finish that cannot be duplicated by any acrylic or latex paint.

This paint is specially made so the lime can “bloom.” This creates the recognizable soft, textured look reminiscent of matte velvety suede.

Lime Wash Paint Coverage

Gallon coverage rate over primed drywall is approximately 350-400 square feet for one coat. Coverage varies based on the surface's porosity and absorption. For porous surfaces like brick or concrete, one coat covers 150-175 square feet.

3.5 Gallon coverage rate over primed drywall is approximately 1,225 - 1,400 square feet. Coverage depends on the surface's porosity and absorption. For porous surfaces like brick or concrete, one coat covers 600-650 square feet.

Two coats of lime wash paint are recommended. They create the desired depth, softness, glow, and mottled effect, while also offering good protection outdoors.

For a 10x12 feature wall (120 square feet), you'll need 240 square feet of coverage for two coats. A gallon will be enough, and you can store any leftover paint for touch-ups or future refreshes.

If your room wall square footage is 600 square feet you will need 1,200 square feet of lime wash paint for two coats so you would buy a 3.5 gallon

This is a natural mineral based material and slight variations will occur from batch to batch. Conditions such as humidity and porosity variations in the surface can also impact the color uniformity. It's a good idea to order 15-20% more paint than you need. This ensures you have enough from the same batch and plenty left for future touch-ups.
