Inside the Factory
Before a Benchmade light can illuminate your home, each piece is meticulously designed and constructed in our Portland, Oregon, factory. Our manufacturing team prepares each fixture by scuffing, sandblasting, or buffing the metal parts before giving them a wash of lacquer, powder coating, or paint in one of our exclusive colors. Finally, each light is assembled by hand and tested for quality before being carefully packaged and delivered to your door.

The trick is a layered approach, using familiar materials updated with modern fabrication, colors & textures that change with the light & thoughtful editing.
This mid-century modern kitchen, feels warm and cozy thanks to help from local friends. The beautiful cabinets made from Douglas fir wood sourced in Roseburg by the talented wolfandsoncabinetmakers, give the space depth. The combination of focused task lighting and soft surroundings from rejuvenation and schoolhouse, along with the lovely tile backsplash from annsacks, make everything look amazing.

Persimmon perfection
Major upgrade to the contractor-style lighting we had. We wanted to do a mini makeover to our bathroom, and fell in love with the persimmon color and globe shape of this fixture. It pops against our newly painted turquoise bathroom.

Classic, you won’t regret it
I got this for a room where the design was already busy, and had a lot of kooky things going on. It’s perfect in that it’s such a quiet yet classic design, both elegant and adorable at the same time! (For context, I used it in a toddler’s room and he calls it the moon!)

After doing a total renovation on a mid century ranch, we ordered three of the Luna 10” with opal shades for our entry way and hallway.
