Q: The "details" has the overall dimensions as 40.5 Inches (H) x 24.5 Inches (W) x 20.5 Inches (D). Is the depth really 20.5"? Judging from the photos and other chairs in this category, how can this be?

Q: I see the manual recline but how do you lift the leg portion? And is the pullback easy or does it take some strength?

A: There is a lever on the side of the chair you pull while pushing back to get the leg/back to open/recline. It is easy to do this.

Q: What is the angle when reclined? Chair will be close to a half wall. Can you raise foot rest without full recline?

A: The fully reclined measurement (front to back) is 64 inches. The required back clearance to recline is 17.5 inches. The footrest can be raised without fully reclining.

Q: Can I get some details on the lever? Would an 88 year old lady be flung too fast by the footrest? Also, is the seat firm or does it sink down a lot? (I wish we could have her try it out) Thanks.

A: The seat is reclined manually when pulling the lever so it should not be too quick of a motion. The seat is firm and does not sink.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chair is SOOO pretty! Please excuse the post Christmas mess in my photos! Tbh I wasn't really expecting it to be so dang comfy! I work from home, and I'm actually very tempted to use it at my desk from now on. It reclines and goes back up very smoothly. Putting it together took all of 1 minute. It has great lower back support. It's wide enough that I am able to sit cross legged in it, but still has a small footprint, especially for a recliner. I'm so pleased with this chair!
