Q: I am very concerned about the warning that came on this pouf. It says “This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm” - what is this all about?!

A: Hello, I believe you are referring to labels that are stuck to our furniture. It's a law called California's Proposition 65 that makes all furniture manufacturers based in California to put this warning label on the furniture. This warning label can be found on many kind of products, such as electrical wires, jewelry, padlocks, dishes, and flashlights to name just a few. It doesn't mean that the furniture actually causes cancer; it just says that a chemical formaldehyde is used in manufacturing the furniture and may cause cancer (e.g., if swallowed). Our furniture is compliant with California 93120 for formaldehyde phase 2. 93120 is about how much formaldehyde is off gassed from a product at 73 degrees. California has very strict rules when it comes to manufacturing home use products and our furniture is compliant with all of them.

Looks very nice but little beans started coming out and the cover does not zip off. So in the trash they will go. What a waste. Lasted about a year.

Don't bother. The return policy for this product is 90 days. I purchased this for my baby's nursery, to be used as a foot rest by me. I purchased it more than 90 days before my baby was born, and used it lightly in the middle of the night, just to prop up my feet. I just picked it up and it spilled out the filling everywhere. There is a giant tear in the lining. After a chat with a Senior Specialist at the Corporate Offices, I was essentially told I was out of luck. This cost $88 when I purchased it. That's quite a bit of money for something that didn't hold up to even moderate use for more than a few months. I even asked for it to just be replaced, because I figured trying to get my money back would be useless. Turns out they don't even stand by their products enough to replace them. 90 days is 90 days and nobody can do anything about that rule.

Just what we needed for a footstool/coffee table substitute. Only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is that the inner bag holding the “stuffing” is off-white and that color does show through the weave of the light brown outer surface. The light brown is a beautiful taupe color, and the pouf is firm (a good thing), not squishy like a bean bag.

After having this pouf for one month it started leaking tiny white beads. Upon further inspection there is a huge gash in the interior bag that hold all of the beads. It literally loses dozens every day and is insanely irritating. It’s now going in the trash. Disappointing.

I bought this pouf because of the price and because I liked that it was soft with no defined edges (I have two small children). The item arrived quickly and I was pleased it was so well packed. However, the outer part is not as dense as it appears in the photo; mine has a lot of white showing through of the inner beanbag. I started to noticed little white balls around my living room about a week after receiving the item. I found a huge tear in the beanbag. My 21 month old does roll around on it but I had hoped it would hold up better than it did. Now I am constantly stuffing the beads back inside. I’m disappointed this will likely have to be thrown away. I would not recommend to people who have small children.

I ordered two of these for my living room. I did a lot of research on poufs and read a million reviews, and then ended up buying these unreviewed poufs on a whim because I liked the price and the style. So here's a review for those of you looking! They seem to be good quality and I think they will last a long time. I chose round poufs because I have small children and I figured they'd be rolling all over them (and they do). Because of that, they often get a little misshapen, but it is easily fixed by rolling them around until they are back in the desired shape. If all you do is use them as a footrest, I can see they would get flattened over time, but a quick roll around should put them back right again. They are filled with bean-bag filling beads so it's easy to redistribute them. The style is nice and gives some texture to the room. I ordered the ivory color so time will tell how long they stay ivory! They are a nice size, so that it's comfortable for even an adult to use them as extra seating for a short time.
