Q: Do the pasta attachments lock in place while attached and rolling the dough? (Our family is thinking about getting rid of our manual, clamp-on-the-counter pasta roller. The crank comes out too easily between passes.)

I had been hankering for pasta, but I'm trying to eat healthier. So I decided to get this to make my own pasta, and... wow! It was awesome! Easy to attach and figure out right away. As you can see, I made ravioli, and they were WONDERFUL! Still need to work on my technique, but this machine did its part just fine!

From pasta rolling to cheese grating etc. The machine's versatility has made it easy to get multiple things done without needing multiple pieces of equipment. It's obviously not an industrial grade machine but for the average person who Cooks at home it's more then enough. Try some home made pasta and you'll wonder why you ever bought it from the store.

I've always put off buying a stand alone pasta roller and cutter because you need about 4 hands but this makes it so much easier and is super quick. Make the dough with the mixer and then attach the roller and off you go.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the pasta roller attachment. I only used the attachment once prior to the roller function completely breaking. The grey plastic component snapped after my second use, rending the entire attachment useless as the dough would get caught inside the roller. I am distraught. I had such a wonderful and exciting experience the first time and this second time has completely deflated me. Why use hard plastic components versus rubber or silcone material instead? Attached are photos before and after I disassembled it to remove the dough inside the attachment.
