Q: I see two answers for the size of the larger dish. Which one is correct?

A: It is 3qt or 9 by 13.

Q: I have read that these dishes can't be used in the broiler. However, I'm wondering if they are able to go under the broiler for five minutes just to melt cheese on top of the casserole?

A: Hello, the larger 3 quart dish is 15'' wide x 9.5'' deep x 2.25'' high. The smaller 2 quart dish is 8'' wide x 8'' deep x 2'' high.

Q: I'm looking for another of a pan I have, a 9x13x2 with "233" inscribed next to "MADE IN USA", possibly Pyrex item 5300114, with lid 1119783 or OV-233. Is the larger of these the same pan?

A: Hello Michele! This glass Pyrex baking pan cannot be used in the broiler. It can be used at any temperature in the oven as long as the oven has been fully preheated before putting it in. You also need to make sure you place it on a dry kitchen towel, cutting board, or pot holder when you remove it from the oven. We hope this helps!

A: Hello! No this glass bakeware cannot be used in the broiler as it is a direct source of heat. You could use it to make lasagna in the oven if you'd like!

Brand new pan exploded while cooling on counter 15 minutes after removing pan from 350° oven, sending shards of glass all over the kitchen and into the back of my legs. Pan was placed onto dry hot pads while cooling so there is no way it was due to thermal shock. Always trusted Pyrex for its apparent durability, but now I’m not so sure.

I love this set and use it daily! It is what I would consider a staple item for any kitchen. I love the lids and how well fitting they are. I am able to serve and store leftovers. It is possible to also reheat items without the lids of course. It is a great size but admittedly I would love to have more sizes to choose from because it is so awesome.

Exploded with liquid batter in my oven at 350 after only a few min. I’ve only used this a few times prior. The batter went deep into the oven and I literally spent hours disassembling the floor of the oven so that I could clean out the batter. I also cut myself on the glass. I will never ever buy glass ovenware again and am never baking with Pyrex in the future. That was a miserable experience.

The pan exploded in my oven after being in it at 275 for 15 minutes. Ruined $30 worth of salmon and a $90 baking stone. Who knows how long it’ll take to find and clean up all the little glass bits in the oven. There is absolutely no way this is borosilicate glass. I would know. I used to blow boro glass!
