Q: Is the white an off-white or a true bright white?

A: Our stools are somewhere between a crisp, bright white and an off white. I would describe them as being a soft white. We have a true bright white kitchen counter with flecks of silver and blue and the stools go very well with it. We also have a dining room table which has a painted, distressed off white base, and the stools appear to be very white while next to the dining room table. Hope this helps!

Q: How sturdy is the back on these chairs? Just worried that they could crack if too pressure put in them

A: Bought a pair for my daughter almost 2 years ago now - have held up great. Were even moved from old apartment to new one - and not by professional movers. Really well made.
submitted byGranite - 7 years agoA: That's a good question. Our chairs are at the kitchen island and get very light use. There are a total of 5 people who use the chairs, all of whom are adults (My husband and I and 3 adult children who do not live at home, but visit). The largest adult in our house is 6'4" and weighs about 240 lbs. So far, the chairs have held up really well, but no one really tests them either. If you have a rambunctious person or someone who is large sized, I would be a bit concerned about how they may hold up. We have had no issues with normal use.

Q: What are the dimensions of the seat? I saw someone said it is 17.5" wide, but what is the depth? I'm trying to find a cushion that will fit.

A: The seat is 15 3/8" deep at it's center. But it is 13" deep on the right and left sides. You should know that the seat tapers toward the back, so it is only 16" wide at the back part of the seat, and it is 18" wide at the front edge of the seat. The shape of the seat is not a true rectangle. There is a curving of the backrest and there is a narrowing of the seat as it gets closer to the backrest. So, the back of the seat, closest to the backrest is 16" wide and it is 13" deep on each side. The front of the seat is 18" wide and the seat depth is 15 3/8" deep at the center of the seat. Hope this helps.

Q: What type of wood is the stool?

A: I have no idea what type of wood was used to manufacture these chairs. The ones I ordered are painted white and if the type of wood used was indicated in the packaging I did not take note of it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

A: it was super simple. I believe it was just sticking the legs on.
submitted byCJS - 8 years agoA: The stool arrives in two pieces. The four legs are already connected at the top and you simply screw that base onto the bottom of the seat. The back of the seat is already attached. It only takes a few minutes.

I purchased a couple of other bar stools before trying these and I really like the look of them. I almost feel like they are a Pottery Barn dupe. They were extremely easy to put together. I put together 4 by myself in no time. They feel sturdy. They’re the perfect height and if my kids get food on them, they’ll wipe off just fine. Super happy with these!!

This chair is very nice for the price point. I did have to take a star off because the dye of the chair stained my clothes when I put it together. I wanted to let other people know so they don't wear clothers they like when putting this together.

The screw came through the top of the seat while putting it together. I didn't hear anything the first time the screw popped through but on the second screw I heard a crack. I called Target to return but have to take the damaged chair back into the store for full refund.

We have children and I wanted an inexpensive, but nice counter stool. This fits exactly what I needed. The quality is not flawless (there are odd paint globs that come off and mine came with some scratches on each piece). However, being the low price point, I did not expect perfection. These are well suited for us, until I decide to splurge on more expensive pieces once the kids are older.

Pro: They were easy to assemble and not expensive. Con: They show every fingerprint/smug. I purchased 4 total and 1 bar broke after just 2 weeks. My husband sat down, placed his feet on it and it snapped. I got these chairs because I didn’t want to splurge on chairs since we have small children but these don’t even survive everyday use with adults.

These chairs are definitely not worth the price. They have scuffed/scratched after a couple months of extremely light use. I am not sure how these appeared - nothing sharp has ever come near them; we've only sat on them... The finish on these chairs is not great

These barstool chair replaced Amazon upholstery ones. They are more comfortable and a lot easier to clean. The only drawback is that they are slippery on my floor, so it won’t scratch it but be careful when you lean to sit because they will slide.

Love these chairs! I can’t believe how sturdy they are for the price! Height is ideal for someone who doesn’t want their stools to dominate an island. Only a couple inches higher than countertop. Color is bright white. I added cushions for an extra flare! Love them!
