I have really dry skin and it can't seem to get enough moisture. I tried your lightweight moisturizing lotion and it helped a little but I found my skin was still quite dry after use. Is this better for my dry skin? I also find that some other brand products say it shouldn't be used for young/teenage skin, is this for all ages?

Is this gluten free?

For less refined ingredients from natural sources, CeraVe has established strict limits on the level of potentially allergenic proteins. Since individuals exhibit a wide range of sensitivities to these proteins, if you have any questions or concerns you should discuss with your medical care provider. All the ingredients we use in a product are listed on the package or the label of the product itself. For products too small to accommodate the list, a separate ingredient list is available on the display unit in the store for your convenience. Since some ingredients are known by more than one name, we use the standard industry FDA-recognized names. Why not put a seal on the jar? I have been using it for years but is always fearful that it could be tampered with. Is there any harm in using it on my face after the expiration date?

In an effort to be more sustainable we have eliminated the seals on some of our products, including the CeraVe Mositurizing Cream. We understand your concerns and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us to improve our products. The Moisturizing Cream can be used up to 12-month once opened. Is the petrolatum used in this product fully refined?

- Official Answer By CeraVe - BEHi there. Thank you for reaching out about CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. Petrolatum is a derivative of petroleum; it is a purified mixture of mineral oils and waxes. During petroleum refinement, a byproduct of the distillation step is petrolatum residuum. This residuum is further refined and purified to produce petrolatum. Petrolatum is an occlusive agent (forms a barrier on the skin’s surface) and an emollient. These benefits mean that petrolatum helps keep dry skin hydrated by reducing TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and soft/supple by filling in spaces between dry cells in the skin’s outermost layers. The FDA recognizes petrolatum (at levels >30%) as a skin protectant that temporarily protects and helps relieve chafed, chapped or cracked skin.Was this answer helpful to you

A rich cream, but not too rich!
I love this product!
This product makes your skin feel really moisturized, but does leave a weird layer on your skin. It still works really well just not my favorite.
Good body moisturizer.
This comes in a tub. Which is nice and makes it easy to get the product. It is very moisturizing and is a reasonable price.
