“I wouldn’t be doing my job as a pioneer of the clean beauty movement and a cancer survivor if I didn’t at least mention the potential health risk of exposing your skin to chemicals.
Sadly, the United States has the lowest amount of regulations when it comes to skincare ingredients. In the European Union, there is a list of more than 1300 chemicals that have been banned from use in personal care products. In comparison, the US FDA has only banned or restricted 11 chemicals from cosmetics.
To be clear, there are currently no legal requirements for any cosmetic manufacturer marketing products to American consumers to test their products for safety. Some of these chemicals are directly linked to skin irritations, allergies, low fertility, hormonal disruption, and cancer.
I think we can all agree that even swapping some of our products with those that are clean and safe is a good idea. Plus, your skin will be happy!
At Odacité, we are committed to making formulas that are as pure as they are effective. As such, we follow very strict guidelines:
